Urban Höglund, CEO
Urban Höglund has been working as CEO since 2005. He is assistant professor in Comparative Medicine with extensive experience from preclinical work. Between 2001 -- 2005 he worked at Uppsala Imanet with preclinical contract research based on positron emission tomography methodology. From 1996 until 2001 he worked as assistant professor at Department of Laboratory Animal Science at Uppsala University. During 1994 – 1996 he studied Laboratory Animal Medicine at Penn State University, Hershey, Pennsylvania, USA where he also worked as a scientist. Urban defended his thesis in Medical Pharmacology at Uppsala University 1984. After a period of additional 6 years at Department of Medical Pharmacology as research assistant he worked as head of the Animal facilities at the Biomedical Centre in Uppsala.
Jan Mellberg, chairman
Jan Mellberg works as business advisor. He has more than 30 years experience from leading positions in international companies. Among others he has been CFO/ vice president at Pharmacia Biotechnology AB and in Procordia Beverages AB. Presently, he is chairman in several life science companies.
Annika Grahn-Westin
Annika Grahn-Westin is Study Director at Visionar. She was one of those that started Visionar year 2000. Annika has extensive experience from research and drug development. Between 19976 and 1986 she worked at the Pharmacia Control Laboratory where she introduced GLP and GMP routines. During 1986 – 1995 Annika worked at department of Pharmacology at Pharmacia especially with projects concerning autoimmune diseases. Later, 1996 – 2000 she was working with ophthalmology related research and development.
Karin Meyer-Rosberg
Karin Meyer-Rosberg is Senior Business Developer at Uppsala University Innovation and the Uppsala University’s holding company UUAB. She has a PhD in Pharmacology and extensive experience in drug development both from industry and from the CRO business, among others she was CEO at Quintiles Scandinavia. Currently she is also a member of the board of Creative Antibiotics in Umeå.
Inger Fogelberg, substitute
Inger Fogelberg is Study Director at Visionar. She also was one of those that started Visionar year 2000. Inger has 15 years experience of different research projects within general surgery and microsurgery at the Department of Clinical Research at Uppsala Akademiska Hospital. Between 1984 – 1994 she was employed by Pharmacia at Department of Pharmacology. Here she worked mainly with drug development, cell culturing and GLP in connection to autoimmune diseases. Between 1995 and 2000, still at Pharmacia, she worked with Ophthalmology with emphasis on surgery and post-operative control.
